After years of waiting, construction has officially resumed on 2 World Trade Center, marking a new chapter for Manhattan’s Financial District. The tower, designed by the world-renowned Foster + Partners and selected as the final design in 2026, is set to redefine the skyline while honoring the resilience of the city.
Foster + Partners’ vision combines sleek, modern architecture with sustainability, offering cutting-edge office spaces, advanced amenities, and breathtaking views of the city and the Hudson River. American Express has signed on as the anchor tenant and plans to make 2 WTC its new global headquarters, cementing the building’s role as a major hub for international business.
Construction is progressing with an anticipated completion date of 2031, promising to boost the local economy and create thousands of construction and long-term jobs. This isn’t just about building a tower—it’s about building confidence, growth, and a bold vision for New York City’s future.
